And the rest of the deeds of Jeroboam, how he warred, and how he reigned, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

In those days Hezekiah was sick to the death, and prayed unto the LORD: and he spoke to him, and he gave him a sign.

He took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop up the waters of the springs which were outside the city: and they helped him.

This same Hezekiah also stopped the upper watercourse of Gihon, and brought it straight down to the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah prospered in all his works.

Now the rest of the deeds of Hezekiah, and his goodness, behold, they are written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, and in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

So there was gathered much people together, who stopped up all the springs, and the brook that ran through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water?

Then I went on to the gate of the fountain, and to the king’s pool: but there was no place for the animal that was under me to pass.

After him repaired Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of the half part of Beth-zur, to the place opposite the sepulchers of David, and to the pool that was made, and to the house of the mighty.
