And the LORD was gracious to them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.

And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for he also is flesh: yet his days shall be a hundred twenty years.

Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of your servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to listen to the cry and to the prayer, which your servant prays before you today:

So Hazael king of Syria died; and Ben-hadad his son reigned in his place.

And Jehoahaz pleaded with the LORD, and the LORD heard and answered him: for he saw the oppression of Israel, because the king of Syria oppressed them.

For the LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel.

And the LORD did not say that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.

Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.

And the LORD rejected all the people of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of plunderers, until he had cast them out of his sight.

Until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel taken away out of their own land to Assyria until this day.

For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

He has remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.

Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;

And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.

Cast me not away from your presence; and take not your holy spirit from me.

But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and did not destroy them: yea, many times he turned his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.

But you, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before you; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.

And it shall come to pass, after I have plucked them out I will return, and have compassion on them, and will bring them back, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land.

But though he causes grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.

Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

Then shall he say also to those on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

For the LORD shall judge his people, and be sorry for his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the LORD: and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.
