And all the people of the land went into the house of Baal, and broke it down; his altars and his images broke they in pieces thoroughly, and slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars. And the priest appointed officers over the house of the LORD.

And Jehu sent through all Israel: and all the worshippers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left that did not come. And they came into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal was full from one end to another.

And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, that Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, Go in, and slay them; let none come forth. And they struck them down with the edge of the sword; and the guard and the captains carried them out, and went to the city of the house of Baal.

And they brought forth the images out of the house of Baal, and burned them.

And they broke down the image of Baal, and broke down the house of Baal, and made it a sewage house to this day.

He removed the high places, and broke the images, and cut down the groves, and broke in pieces the brass serpent that Moses had made: for until those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan.

And he defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the children of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech.

And he broke in pieces the images, and cut down the groves, and filled their places with the bones of men.

And he slew all the priests of the high places that were there on the altars, and burned men’s bones on them, and returned to Jerusalem.

And they came up into Judah, and broke into it, and carried away all the goods that were found in the king’s house, and his sons also, and his wives; so that there was not a son left him, except Jehoahaz, the youngest of his sons.

And they broke down the altars of Baalim in his presence; and the images, that were high above them, he cut down; and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images, he broke in pieces, and made dust of them, and scattered it on the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.

And when he had broken down the altars and the groves, and had beaten the sculptured images into powder, and cut down all the idols throughout all the land of Israel, he returned to Jerusalem.

And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and scattered it upon the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it.

And the idols he shall completely abolish.

You shall completely destroy all the places in which the nations which you shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:

And you shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and you shall cut down the sculptured images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.

And you shall stone him with stones, so that he dies; because he has sought to thrust you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he has spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust you out of the way which the LORD your God commanded you to walk in. So shall you put the evil away from the midst of you.

If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend, which is as your own soul, entices you secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which you have not known, you, nor your fathers;

But you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
