Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.

And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up early, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:

And testified against them, that you might bring them back to your law: yet they dealt proudly, and did not listen to your commandments, but sinned against your judgments, (which if a man does, he shall live in them;) and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.

Acquaint now yourself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come to you.

If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to show to man what is right:

Behold, I am according to your wish speaking for God: I also am formed out of the clay.

A wicked messenger falls into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health.

Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.

But Jeremiah said, They shall not deliver you. Obey, I plead with you, the voice of the LORD, which I speak to you: so it shall be well with you, and your soul shall live.

However I sent to you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not do this abominable thing that I hate.

For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.

He who hears you hears me; and he who despises you despises me; and he who despises me despises him that sent me.

And the lord said to the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father has sent me, even so send I you.

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then I am strong.

Who also has made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life.

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made known to God; and I trust also are made known in your consciences.

We, then, as workers together with him, plead with you also that you do not receive the grace of God in vain.

For which I am an ambassador in chains: that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things to himself; by him, I say, whether they are things on earth, or things in heaven.

He therefore that despises these things, does not despise man, but God, who has also given to us his Holy Spirit.
