And Naaman said, Shall there not then, I pray you, be given to your servant two mules’ burden of earth? for your servant will henceforth offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice unto other gods, but unto the LORD.
And when I passed by you, and saw you polluted in your own blood, I said to you when you were in your blood, Live; yea, I said to you when you were in your blood, Live.
And shall put my spirit in you, and you shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall you know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, says the LORD.
Then said he to me, Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus says the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.
Truly, truly, I say to you, He who hears my word, and believes in him who sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but has passed from death to life.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then I am strong.
Therefore from this time on we know no one according to the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet from now on we know him in this way no more.
For this is why the gospel was preached also to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
