Then came the Jews round about him, and said to him, How long do you make us doubt? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.

These things have I spoken to you in proverbs: but the time is coming, when I shall no more speak to you in proverbs, but I shall show you plainly of the Father.

His disciples said to him, Lo, now you are speaking plainly, and speak no proverb.

For a long time therefore they remained speaking boldly in the Lord, who gave testimony to the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared to them how he had seen the Lord on the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.

And he spoke boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him.

Yet in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.

Now I Paul myself plead with you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am lowly among you, but being absent am bold toward you:

For if that which has come to an end was glorious, much more is that which remains glorious.

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying over you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation.

And many of the brethren in the Lord, growing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing shall I be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

That I may make it plain, as I ought to speak.

But even after we had suffered before, and were shamefully treated, as you know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God with much opposition.

For those who have occupied the office of a deacon well purchase for themselves a good standing, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to order you to do that which is proper,
