So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, and to do worse than the heathen, whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel.
Moreover Manasseh shed very much innocent blood, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; besides his sin with which he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.
Nevertheless the LORD turned not from the fierceness of his great wrath, with which his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations that Manasseh had provoked him with.
Neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will be careful to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Because you multiplied iniquity more than the nations that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that are round about you;
For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and you walk in their counsels; that I should make you a desolation, and the inhabitants thereof a hissing: therefore you shall bear the reproach of my people.
And I brought you into the land of the Amorites, which dwelt on the other side of the Jordan; and they fought with you: and I gave them into your hand, that you might possess their land; and I destroyed them from before you.
