Instruct those who are rich in this world, that they be not proud, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy;

There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labor. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.

O generation, see the word of the LORD. Have I been a wilderness to Israel? a land of darkness? why do my people say, We are lords; we will come no more unto you?

Why do you glory in the valleys, your flowing valley, O backsliding daughter? who trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come to me?

For your sister Sodom was not mentioned by your mouth in the day of your pride,

The king spoke, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honor of my majesty?

According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.

And whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in the world to come.

And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, who was the chief among the tax collectors, and he was rich.

He answered and said to them, He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none; and he that has food, let him do likewise.

Nevertheless he did not leave himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

And when they came, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.

Neither is worshiped with men’s hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he gives to all life, and breath, and all things;

Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Be not high minded, but fear:

For this you know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the enduring hills,

And you say in your heart, My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

For they themselves report concerning us what manner of entering in we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

As I pleaded with you to remain longer at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that you might instruct some that they teach no other doctrine,

But if I delay long, that you may know how you ought to behave in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

For this is why we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.

I solemnly instruct you before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that you observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

I solemnly instruct you in the sight of God, who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate delivered a good testimony;

But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

For Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and has departed to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior;

For so an entrance shall be provided for you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
