You shall not cheat your neighbor, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not remain with you all night until the morning.

Nor a pouch for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staffs: for the workman is worthy of his food.

And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the laborer is worthy of his pay. Do not go from house to house.

For the scripture says, Whoever believes in him shall not be ashamed.

God has not cast away his people whom he knew beforehand. Do you not know what the scripture says of Elijah? How he makes intercession to God against Israel, saying,

For what does the scripture say? Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.

For the scripture says to Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

Even so has the Lord appointed that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel.

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached beforehand the gospel to Abraham, saying, In you shall all nations be blessed.

You shall not muzzle the ox when he treads out the grain.

Do you think that the Scripture says in vain, The spirit that dwells in us is inclined to envy?
