For bodily exercise profits little: but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise for the life that now is, and for that which is to come.
Though a sinner do evil a hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with those who fear God, which fear before him:
For what purpose does incense come to me from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet to me.
And whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in the world to come.
And every one who has forsaken houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
Who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
If anyone teaches otherwise, and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
This is a faithful saying, and these things I desire that you affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.
Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing for the heart to be established with grace, not with foods, which have not benefited those who have been occupied with them.
He who overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go out no more: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
And Samuel said, Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
