And as for your donkeys that were lost three days ago, set not your mind on them; for they are found. And on whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not on you, and on all your father’s house?

And Saul said to his uncle, He told us plainly that the donkeys were found. But of the matter of the kingdom, of which Samuel spoke, he did not tell him.

Now therefore behold the king whom you have chosen, and whom you have desired! and, behold, the LORD has set a king over you.

But if you will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against you, as it was against your fathers.

And about the time of her death the women that stood by her said to her, Fear not; for you have borne a son. But she answered not, neither did she regard it.

Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us;

And said to him, Behold, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.

And Samuel answered Saul, and said, I am the seer: go up before me to the high place; for you shall eat with me today, and tomorrow I will let you go, and will tell you all that is in your heart.

And the donkeys of Kish Saul’s father were lost. And Kish said to Saul his son, Take now one of the servants with you, and arise, go look for the donkeys.
