May the LORD return to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness: for the LORD delivered you into my hand today, but I would not stretch forth my hand against the LORD’S anointed.
Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge your servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.
Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the edge of your robe in my hand: for in that I cut off the edge of your robe, and did not kill you, know and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in my hand, and I have not sinned against you; yet you hunt my soul to take it.
The LORD forbid that I should stretch forth my hand against the LORD’S anointed: but, I pray you, take now the spear that is at his pillow, and the jar of water, and let us go.
