She that has borne seven grows feeble: she has given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she has been ashamed and perplexed: and the remainder of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, says the LORD.

He has filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he has sent empty away.

But Abraham said, Son, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and you are tormented.

For it is written, Rejoice, you barren one who does not bear; break forth and cry out, you who do not labor in birth: for the desolate has many more children than she who has a husband.

And he shall be to you a restorer of your life, and a nourisher of your old age: for your daughter in law, which loves you, which is better to you than seven sons, has borne him.

Therefore it came to pass, when the time came around after Hannah had conceived, that she bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.

And her adversary also provoked her continually, to distress her, because the LORD had shut up her womb.
