And David put his hand in his bag, and took from it a stone, and slung it, and struck the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sank into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.
And a certain man drew a bow at random, and struck the king of Israel between the joints of the armor: therefore he said to the driver of his chariot, Turn your hand, and take me out of the army; for I am wounded.
And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew near to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.
So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and struck the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.
For he put his life in his hand, and slew the Philistine, and the LORD accomplished a great salvation for all Israel: you saw it, and rejoiced: why then will you sin against innocent blood, to kill David without a cause?
