Behold, here I am: witness against me before the LORD, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose donkey have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or from whose hand have I received any bribe to blind my eyes therewith? and I will restore it to you.

For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

Restore, I pray you, to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, their oliveyards, and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money, and of the grain, the wine, and the oil, that you require of them.

He that does not lend his money at interest, nor take a bribe against the innocent. He that does these things shall never be moved.

You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.

If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or donkey, or sheep; he shall restore double.

And you shall take no bribe: for the bribe blinds the wise, and perverts the words of the righteous.

He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house; but he who hates bribes shall live.

Then it shall be, because he has sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he has deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered to him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,

Or all that about which he has sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in full, and shall add the fifth part more to it, and give it to him to whom it belongs, in the day of his trespass offering.

And Moses was very angry, and said unto the LORD, Do not respect their offering: I have not taken one donkey from them, neither have I hurt one of them.

They said to him, Caesar’s. Then said he to them, Return therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s; and to God the things that are God’s.

And Zacchaeus stood, and said to the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore to him fourfold.

I have coveted no man’s silver, or gold, or apparel.

Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I do not seek your possessions, but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.

You shall not pervert judgment; you shall not favor any person, neither take a bribe: for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise, and perverts the words of the righteous.

You are witnesses, and God also, how holy and just and blameless we were among you who believe:

For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as you know, nor a covering for covetousness; God is witness:

Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by compulsion, but willingly; not for unjust gain, but eagerly;

Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it on his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD has anointed you to be captain over his inheritance?

And they said, You have not defrauded us, nor oppressed us, neither have you taken anything from any man’s hand.

And he said to them, The LORD is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that you have not found anything in my hand. And they answered, He is witness.

And I will raise up for myself a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in my heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before my anointed for ever.

Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the edge of your robe in my hand: for in that I cut off the edge of your robe, and did not kill you, know and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in my hand, and I have not sinned against you; yet you hunt my soul to take it.

And he said to his men, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing to my master, the LORD’S anointed, to stretch out my hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD.

So David held back his servants with these words, and did not permit them to rise against Saul. But Saul rose up out of the cave, and went on his way.

The LORD forbid that I should stretch forth my hand against the LORD’S anointed: but, I pray you, take now the spear that is at his pillow, and the jar of water, and let us go.

And David said to Abishai, Do not destroy him: for who can stretch forth his hand against the LORD’S anointed, and be guiltless?
