For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit:
And after sixty two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and until the end of the war desolations are determined.
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, your King comes to you: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon a donkey, and upon a colt the foal of a donkey.
When he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, Have nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.
When Pilate saw that he could not prevail at all, but that rather a tumult was arising, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see to it yourselves.
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also give life to your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God exercised towards you.
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the completion of the age has he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Seeing then that Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same attitude: for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin;
For this is why the gospel was preached also to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
