And this is the reason for the levy which king Solomon raised; in order to build the house of the LORD, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.

So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of David. And David built round about from Millo and inward.

And this was the reason that he lifted up his hand against the king: Solomon built Millo, and repaired the broken places of the city of David his father.

Your father made our yoke hard to bear: now therefore make the hard service of your father, and his heavy yoke which he put upon us, lighter, and we will serve you.

And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of the children of the giant: and they were subdued.

And they gave to them, of the cities of refuge, Shechem in mount Ephraim with her open country; they gave also Gezer with her open country,

Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and did not listen to the words of Necho from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.

And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and his own house,

Do good in your good pleasure to Zion: build the walls of Jerusalem.

In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of Hadad-rimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

Then Horam king of Gezer came up to help Lachish; and Joshua struck him and his people, until he had left him none remaining.

The kings came and fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money.

But if not, let fire come out from Abimelech, and devour the men of Shechem, and the house of Millo; and let fire come out from the men of Shechem, and from the house of Millo, and devour Abimelech.

And all the men of Shechem gathered together, and all the house of Millo, and went, and made Abimelech king, by the plain of the pillar that was in Shechem.
