And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the entrance of Hamath to the river of Egypt, before the LORD our God, seven days and seven days, even fourteen days.

In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, To your descendents have I given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:

And Solomon awoke; and, behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem, and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and offered up burnt offerings, and offered peace offerings, and made a feast to all his servants.

And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

For he had dominion over all the region on this side of the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side of the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

And all the men of Israel assembled themselves to king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

On the eighth day he sent the people away: and they blessed the king, and went to their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the LORD had done for David his servant, and for Israel his people.

He restored the territory of Israel from the entering of Hamath to the sea of the plain, according to the word of the LORD God of Israel, which he spoke by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gath-hepher.

And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel: and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof.

And Pharaoh Necho put him in bonds at Riblah in the land of Hamath, that he might not reign in Jerusalem; and put the land to a tribute of a hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold.

And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

So David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor of Egypt even to the entering of Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kirjath-jearim.

And there assembled at Jerusalem much people to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great congregation.

And the whole assembly took counsel to keep another seven days: and they kept another seven days with gladness.

And I will set your bounds from the Red sea even to the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and you shall drive them out before you.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat out the harvest from the channel of the river to the stream of Egypt, and you shall be gathered one by one, O you children of Israel.

And the south side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea. And this is the south side southward.

But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, says the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entrance of Hamath to the river of the wilderness.

Pass over to Calneh, and see; and from there go to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath of the Philistines: are they better than these kingdoms? or their land larger than your land?

And the border shall curve around from Azmon to the river of Egypt, and it shall come out at the sea.

From mount Hor you shall mark out your border unto the entrance of Hamath; and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad:

From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even to the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted to the Canaanite: five lords of the Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites:

And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrising, from Baal-gad under mount Hermon to the entrance to Hamath.

This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah by their families; even to the border of Edom the wilderness of Zin southward was the farthest part of the south territory.

From there it passed toward Azmon, and went out to the river of Egypt; and that border came out at the sea: this shall be your south border.

And the fortified cities are Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth,

Namely, five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount Lebanon, from mount Baal-hermon to the entrance of Hamath.
