And the house which I build is great: for great is our God above all gods.

But who is able to build him a house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him a house, except only so that we may burn sacrifice before him?

But will God indeed really dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain you; how much less this house which I have built!

The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

Praise him, you heavens of heavens, and you waters that are above the heavens.

To him that rides upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he sends out his voice, and that a mighty voice.

Thus says the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that you would build for me? and where is the place of my rest?

Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? says the LORD. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says the LORD.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

God that made the world and all things in it, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands;

I knew a man in Christ more than fourteen years ago (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows); such a one was caught up to the third heaven.

And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God; as God has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD your God’s, the earth also, with all that is in it.

Behold, what manner of love the Father has given us, that we should be called the children of God: therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know him.
