And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, To your descendents have I given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:

Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David wherever he went.

Your father made our yoke hard to bear: now therefore make the hard service of your father, and his heavy yoke which he put upon us, lighter, and we will serve you.

And I have also given you that which you have not asked, both riches, and honor: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto you all your days.

And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and sixty measures of meal,

For he had dominion over all the region on this side of the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side of the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria; and Hoshea became his servant, and gave him presents.

Therefore the LORD established the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honor in abundance.

And many brought gifts unto the LORD to Jerusalem, and presents to Hezekiah king of Judah: so that he was magnified in the sight of all nations from that time on.

There have been mighty kings also over Jerusalem, which have ruled over all countries beyond the river; and toll, tribute, and custom, was paid to them.

Because of your temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents to you.

Vow, and pay to the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents to him who should be feared.

And I will set your bounds from the Red sea even to the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and you shall drive them out before you.

For who can eat, or who else can pursue pleasures, more than I?

How the city sits solitary that was full of people! how she has become like a widow! She who was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how she has become one who pays tribute!

Thus were you decked with gold and silver; and your raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and embroidered work; you ate fine flour, and honey, and oil: and you were exceedingly beautiful, and you prospered into a kingdom.

Every place on which the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the farthest sea shall your territory be.

From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory.

But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought him no presents. But he held his peace.
