For the battle was there scattered over the face of all the country: and the wood devoured more people that day than the sword devoured.

And Ben-hadad sent to him, and said, The gods do so to me, and more also, if the dust of Samaria shall suffice for handfuls for all the people that follow me.

And they killed every one his man: and the Syrians fled; and Israel pursued them: and Ben-hadad the king of Syria escaped on a horse with the horsemen.

And Micaiah said, Behold, you shall see in that day, when you shall go into an inner chamber to hide yourself.

And when they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings, Jehu sent eighty men outside, and said, If any of the men whom I have brought into your hands escape, he that lets him go, his life shall be for the life of him.

And when you come to there, look there for Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and take him to an inner chamber;

And Micaiah said, Behold, you shall see on that day when you shall go into an inner chamber to hide yourself.

With the merciful you will show yourself merciful; with an upright man you will show yourself upright;

And it shall come to pass, that he who flees from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that comes up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth shake.

Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a broken place ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly in an instant.

He who flees from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he who gets up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, says the LORD.

Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and his ways justice: and those who walk in pride he is able to bring low.

As if a man fled from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out from there; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, there will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:

From the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that is beside the Sidonians, to Aphek, to the borders of the Amorites:

And Abimelech chased him, and he fled before him, and many were overthrown and wounded, even to the entering of the gate.

Now the Philistines gathered together all their armies to Aphek: and the Israelites pitched by a fountain which is in Jezreel.
