Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume you and your fifty men. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty men.
And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and it came between them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
And the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the LORD of hosts.
Be therefore very careful of yourselves; for you saw no manner of likeness on the day that the LORD spoke to you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
