That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God more than many did.

And to man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that fears the LORD, that delights greatly in his commandments.

In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.

Then those who feared the LORD spoke often one to another: and the LORD listened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for those who feared the LORD, and who thought upon his name.

And do not fear those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

And likewise he who had received two, he also gained two more.

A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, who gave many gifts to the people, and prayed to God always.

But in every nation he who fears him, and works righteousness, is accepted with him.
