And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long do you hesitate between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.
And Judah said, What shall we say to my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God has found out the iniquity of your servants: behold, we are my lord’s servants, both we, and he also with whom the cup is found.
So these nations feared the LORD, and served their sculptured images, both their children, and their children’s children: as did their fathers, so do they until this day.
