And he departed from there to a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he built an altar to the LORD, and called on the name of the LORD.

And Elijah said to Elisha, Remain here, I pray you; for the LORD has sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said to him, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they went down to Bethel.

And now you think to withstand the kingdom of the LORD in the hand of the sons of David; and you are a great multitude, and there are with you golden calves, which Jeroboam made for you for gods.

And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel their confidence.

The snorting of his horses was heard from Dan: the whole land trembled at the sound of the neighing of his strong ones; for they have come, and have devoured the land, and all that is in it; the city, and those that dwell therein.

But do not prophesy again any more at Bethel: for it is the king’s chapel, and it is the king’s court.

Those who swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Your god, O Dan, lives; and, The way of Beer-sheba lives; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.

And Moses went up from the plains of Moab to the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over by Jericho. And the LORD showed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan,

And Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth-aven, on the east side of Bethel, and spoke to them, saying, Go up and view the country. And the men went up and viewed Ai.

And the children of Dan went their way: and when Micah saw that they were too strong for him, he turned and went back to his house.

Then all the children of Israel went out, and the congregation was gathered together as one man, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, with the land of Gilead, unto the LORD in Mizpeh.
