He who says he abides in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
Righteousness shall go before him; and shall direct us in the way of his steps.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest for your souls.
For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.
If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
Be followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling fragrance.
For even to this were you called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow his steps:
And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
He who says, I know him, and does not keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
And he who keeps his commandments dwells in him, and he in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit which he has given us.
Whoever dwells in him does not sin: whoever sins has not seen him, neither known him.
In this is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
