Do you not know that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of a harlot? God forbid.
And not holding to the Head, from which all the body by joints and ligaments having nourishment supplied, and knit together, increases with the increase of God.
Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law.
Foods are for the belly, and the belly for foods: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
Was then that which is good made death to me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear to be sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceedingly sinful.
