​Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain that build it: unless the LORD keeps the city, the watchman wakes but in vain.

God has spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongs to God.

Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.

The generous soul shall be made fat: and he that waters shall be watered also himself.

For as the earth brings forth her bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring up; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.

And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.

And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper regions came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

And when he had greeted them, he declared in detail what things God had done among the Gentiles by his ministry.

For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not done through me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,

Now this I say, that every one of you says, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

But you are of him in Christ Jesus, who from God is made to be for us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;

So then neither is he that plants anything, nor he that waters; but God that gives the increase.

Am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord?

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance; as you know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.
