Open rebuke is better than secret love.

You shall not hate your brother in your heart: you shall in any case rebuke your neighbor, and not permit sin to remain upon him.

For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Do you desire then not to fear the authority? Do what is good, and you shall have praise from the same:

Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things, and hold to the instructions, as I delivered them to you.

When you come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord’s supper.

What? Do you not have houses to eat and to drink in? Or do you despise the church of God, and shame those who have not? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? I do not praise you.

And if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home; so that you do not come together for condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

If therefore the whole church comes together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those who are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that you are mad?

How is it then, brethren? When you come together, every one of you has a hymn, a teaching, a tongue, a revelation, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for edifying.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching.

Or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of those who do well.
