And it came to pass, as soon as he came near to the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses’ anger became hot, and he threw down the tables out of his hands, and broke them beneath the mount.
And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with an engraving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be your gods, O Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt.
But now I have written to you not to keep company, if anyone that is called a brother is a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a scoffer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one not even to eat.
Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
However there is not in everyone that knowledge: for some with scruples concerning the idol to this hour eat it as a thing offered to an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.
And the LORD said to me, Arise, go down quickly from here; for your people which you have brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made themselves a molten image.
