So that none would say that I had baptized in my own name.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit:

And were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.

He that speaks from himself seeks his own glory: but he that seeks his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

I thank God that I baptized none of you, except Crispus and Gaius;

And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides these, I do not know whether I baptized any others.

For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
