But the princes of the children of Ammon said to Hanun, Do you think that David honors your father, that he has sent comforters to you? are not his servants come to you in order to search, and to overthrow, and to spy out the land?

For every head shall be bald, and every beard clipped: upon all the hands shall be cuts, and upon the loins sackcloth.

You shall not trim the sides of your heads, neither shall you mar the edges of your beard.

And again he sent to them another servant; and at him they threw stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully treated.
