And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kirjath-jearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God the LORD, that dwells between the cherubims, whose name is spoken as dwelling on it.

And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.

And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking to him from the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spoke to him.

And the children of Israel journeyed, and came to their cities on the third day. Now their cities were Gibeon, and Chephirah, and Beeroth, and Kirjath-jearim.

So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from there the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, which dwells between the cherubims: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.

And they sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kirjath-jearim, saying, The Philistines have brought again the ark of the LORD; come down, and fetch it up to you.
