For, behold, Your enemies, O Yahweh, For, behold, Your enemies will perish; All the workers of iniquity will be scattered.

¶The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.

You will arise and have compassion on Zion— For it is time to be gracious to it, For the appointed time has come.

“Of old You founded the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands.

But the wicked will perish; And the enemies of Yahweh will be like the glory of the pastures, They vanish—in smoke they vanish away.

Do not slay them, or my people will forget; Make them wander about by Your power, and bring them down, O Lord, our shield.

Rebuke the beast in the reeds, The herd of bulls with the calves of the peoples, Trampling under foot the pieces of silver; He has cast out the peoples who delight in war.

For, behold, those who are far from You will perish; You have destroyed everyone who is unfaithful to You.

You Yourself crushed Rahab like one who is slain; You scattered Your enemies with Your strong arm.

For You are Yahweh Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods.

The nations rumble on like the rumbling of many waters, But He will rebuke them, and they will flee far away, And be pursued like chaff in the mountains before the wind, Or like whirling dust before a whirlwind.

One-third of you will die by the plague or be consumed by the famine among you, one-third will fall by the sword around you, and one-third I will scatter to every wind, and I will unsheathe a sword behind them.

You, however, I will scatter among the nations and will draw out a sword after you, as your land becomes desolate and your cities become waste.

Then it happened when the ark set out that Moses said, “Rise up, O Yahweh! And let Your enemies be scattered, And let those who hate You flee before You.”

And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’

But these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them in my presence.’ ”

and they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled under foot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

Moreover, Yahweh will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth; and there you shall serve other gods, wood and stone, which you or your fathers have not known.

“Thus let all Your enemies perish, O Yahweh; But let those who love Him be like the rising of the sun in its might.” And the land was quiet for forty years.
