“Hear, O My people, and I will testify against you; O Israel, if you would listen to Me!

¶“Hear, O My people, and I will speak; O Israel, I will testify against you; I am God, your God.

“Oh that My people would listen to Me, That Israel would walk in My ways!

And He said, “If you will earnestly listen to the voice of Yahweh your God, and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I, Yahweh, am your healer.”

So he named the place Massah and Meribah because of the contending of the sons of Israel, and because they tested Yahweh, saying, “Is Yahweh among us or not?”

So it happened on the third day, when it was morning, that there were thunder and lightning flashes and a thick cloud upon the mountain and a very loud trumpet sound, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled.

Those were the waters of Meribah because the sons of Israel contended with Yahweh, and He proved Himself holy among them.

Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know and bear witness of what we have seen, and you do not accept our witness.

solemnly testifying to both Jews and Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

and he said to them, “Place in your heart all the words with which I am warning you today, which you shall command your sons to be careful to do, even all the words of this law.

As for you, go near and hear all that Yahweh our God says; then speak to us all that Yahweh our God speaks to you, and we will hear and do it.’

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for the witness of God is this, that He has borne witness about His Son.
