Let destruction, which he does not know, come upon him, And let the net, which he hid, catch him; Let him fall into it in destruction.

There the workers of wickedness have fallen; They have been thrust down and cannot rise.

He devises wickedness upon his bed; He sets himself on a path that is not good; He does not despise evil.

¶My heart is set, O God, my heart is set; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises!

Yahweh has made Himself known; He has executed judgment. In the work of his own hands the wicked is snared. Higgaion Selah.

So are the paths of everyone who is greedy for gain; It takes away the life of its possessors.

He who digs a pit will fall into it, And he who rolls a stone, it will turn back on him.

He who digs a pit may fall into it, and a serpent may bite him who breaks through a wall.

But David knew that Saul was plotting evil against him; so he said to Abiathar the priest, “Bring the ephod here.”

David also said, “As Yahweh lives, surely Yahweh will smite him, or his day will come that he dies, or he will go down into battle and be swept away.

Moreover Yahweh will also give over Israel along with you into the hands of the Philistines, therefore tomorrow you and your sons will be with me. Indeed Yahweh will give over the camp of Israel into the hands of the Philistines!”
