Psalm 27:2

When evildoers came upon me to devour my flesh, My adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell.

“Why do you persecute me as God does, And are not satisfied with my flesh?

“If the men of my tent have not said, ‘Who can find one who has not been satisfied with his meat’—

They surrounded me like bees; They were extinguished as a fire of thorns; In the name of Yahweh I will surely cut them off.

¶Do all the workers of iniquity not know, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call upon Yahweh?

¶The cords of death encompassed me, And the torrents of vileness terrified me.

For dogs have surrounded me; A band of evildoers has encompassed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.

¶Arise, O Yahweh; save me, O my God! For You have struck all my enemies on the cheek; You have shattered the teeth of the wicked.

¶Do the workers of iniquity not know, Who eat up my people as they eat bread And do not call upon God?

¶When my enemies turn back, They stumble and perish before You.

“And many will stumble over them; Then they will fall and be broken; They will even be snared and caught.”
