O my God, I call by day, but You do not answer; And by night, but I have no rest.
My tears have been my food day and night, While they say to me all day long, “Where is your God?”
¶O Yahweh God of hosts, How long will You smolder against the prayer of Your people?
O Yahweh, the God of my salvation, I have cried out by day and throughout the night before You.
You have covered Yourself with a cloud So that no prayer can pass through.
Even when I cry out and call for help, He shuts out my prayer.
And He left them again, and went away and prayed a third time, saying the same thing once more.
Now, will God not bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them?
Now it happened that at this time He went off to the mountain to pray, and He was spending the whole night in prayer to God.
as we night and day keep praying most earnestly that we may see your face, and may complete what is lacking in your faith?
I am grateful to God, whom I serve with a clear conscience the way my forefathers did, as I unceasingly remember you in my prayers night and day,
