My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Far from my salvation are the words of my groaning.

“For my groaning comes at the sight of my food, And my roaring pours out like water.

Why do You stand afar off, O Yahweh? Why do You hide Yourself in times of distress?

Keep me, O God, for I take refuge in You.

¶Be not far from me, for distress is near; For there is none to help.

For dogs have surrounded me; A band of evildoers has encompassed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.

Do not take my soul away along with sinners, Nor my life with men of bloodshed,

For Yahweh loves justice And will not forsake His holy ones; They are kept forever, But the seed of the wicked will be cut off.

I am faint and badly crushed; I groan because of the agitation of my heart.

Saying, “God has forsaken him; Pursue and seize him, for there is no one to deliver.”

“I bring near My righteousness, it is not far off; And My salvation will not delay. And I will grant salvation in Zion, And My glory for Israel.

All of us growl like bears, And moan sadly like doves; We hope for justice, but there is none, For salvation, but it is far from us.

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

And being in agony He was praying very fervently, and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground.

Now He said to them, “These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

Make sure that your way of life is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,”

He, in the days of His flesh, offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverence.

For Yahweh will not abandon His people on account of His great name, because Yahweh has been pleased to make you a people for Himself.
