Now it happened at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “O Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, today let it be known that You are God in Israel and that I am Your slave and I have done all these things at Your word.

Then everyone who trembled at the words of the God of Israel on account of the unfaithfulness of the exiles gathered to me, and I sat appalled until the evening offering.

Lift up your hands to the sanctuary And bless Yahweh.

Hear the voice of my supplications when I cry to You for help, When I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary.

O Yahweh, in the morning, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch.
