Rescue me, O Yahweh, from evil men; Guard me from violent men

“May a slanderer not be established in the earth; May evil hunt the violent man speedily.”

¶Keep me, O Yahweh, from the hands of the wicked; Guard me from violent men Who give thought to trip up my steps.

¶Arise, O Yahweh, confront him, bring him low; Protect my soul from the wicked with Your sword,

Who delivers me from my enemies; Surely You lift me above those who rise up against me; You rescue me from the violent man.

Give justice to me, O God, and plead my case against an unholy nation; Oh protect me from the deceitful and unrighteous man!

Protect me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, Out of the grasp of the unrighteous and ruthless man,
