Remember, O Yahweh, on David’s behalf, All his affliction;
Then God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the cattle that were with him in the ark; and God caused a wind to pass over the earth, and the water subsided.
In my distress I called to Yahweh, And He answered me.
I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come?
I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of Yahweh.”
To You I lift up my eyes, The One enthroned in the heavens!
“Had it not been Yahweh who was on our side,” Let Israel now say,
Those who trust in Yahweh Are as Mount Zion, which will not be shaken but will abide forever.
When Yahweh returned the captive ones of Zion, We were like those who dream.
Unless Yahweh builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless Yahweh watches the city, The watchman keeps awake in vain.
How blessed is everyone who fears Yahweh, Who walks in His ways.
“Many times they have assailed me from my youth up,” Let Israel now say,
Out of the depths I called to You, O Yahweh.
O Yahweh, my heart is not exalted, and my eyes are not raised high; And I do not involve myself in great matters, Or in matters too marvelous for me.
See my affliction and my trouble, And forgive all my sins.
So God heard their groaning; and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
¶Remember my affliction and my homelessness, the wormwood and gall.
Remember, O Yahweh, what has happened to us; Look, and see our reproach!
