But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, so that I also may be in good spirits when I learn of your circumstances.

And you also, rejoice in the same way and share your joy with me.

Therefore I have sent him all the more eagerly so that when you see him again you may rejoice and I may be less concerned.

and we sent Timothy, our brother and God’s fellow worker in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you as to your faith,

For this reason, when I could endure it no longer, I also sent to know about your faith, lest somehow the tempter has tempted you, and our labor be in vain.

We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is only fitting, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of each one of you all toward one another increases all the more,

For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.

Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.”

who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
