It is a continual burnt offering which was ordained in Mount Sinai as a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to Yahweh.

Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of Yahweh my God, setting it apart to Him as holy, to burn fragrant incense before Him and to set out the showbread continually, and to offer burnt offerings morning and evening, on sabbaths and on new moons and on the appointed feasts of Yahweh our God, this being required forever in Israel.

He also appointed the king’s portion of his goods for the burnt offerings, namely, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the sabbaths and for the new moons and for the appointed times, as it is written in the law of Yahweh.

They celebrated the Feast of Booths, as it is written, and offered the fixed number of burnt offerings daily, according to the legal judgment, as each day required;

“I do not reprove you for your sacrifices, And your burnt offerings are continually before Me.

Then Moses entered the midst of the cloud as he went up to the mountain; and Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

When He had finished speaking with him upon Mount Sinai, He gave Moses the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written by the finger of God.

Also you shall provide a grain offering with it morning by morning—a sixth of an ephah as well as a third of a hin of oil to moisten the fine flour—a grain offering to Yahweh continually by a perpetual statute.

Thus they shall provide the lamb, the grain offering, and the oil, morning by morning, for a continual burnt offering.”

These are the commandments which Yahweh commanded Moses for the sons of Israel at Mount Sinai.

“Command Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the law for the burnt offering: the burnt offering itself shall remain on the hearth on the altar all night until the morning, and the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it.

“Did you present Me with sacrifices and grain offerings in the wilderness for forty years, O house of Israel?

also a tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a grain offering, mixed with a fourth of a hin of beaten oil.

Then the drink offering with it shall be a fourth of a hin for each lamb, in the holy place you shall pour out a drink offering of strong drink to Yahweh.

But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.
