Numbers 26:65

For Yahweh had said of them, “They shall surely die in the wilderness.” And not a man was left of them, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.

For evildoers will be cut off, But those who hope for Yahweh, they will inherit the land.

And the sons of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, aside from the little ones.

Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,

But as for you, your corpses will fall in this wilderness.

I, Yahweh, have spoken, surely this I will do to all this evil congregation who are gathered together against Me. In this wilderness they shall come to an end, and there they will die.’ ”

But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh remained alive out of those men who went to spy out the land.

“Our father died in the wilderness, yet he was not among the congregation of those who gathered themselves together against Yahweh in the congregation of Korah; but he died in his own sin, and he had no sons.

Now these are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

Behold then the kindness and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God’s kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off.

except Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him and to his sons I will give the land on which he has set foot, because he has followed Yahweh fully.’

Now this is the reason why Joshua circumcised them: all the people who came out of Egypt who were males, all the men of war, died in the wilderness along the way when they came out of Egypt.

Now I want to remind you, though you know all things, that Jesus, having once saved a people out of the land of Egypt, subsequently destroyed those who did not believe.
