And the king went up to the house of Yahweh and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests and the prophets and all the people, both small and great; and he read in their hearing all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of Yahweh.

the document which you sent to us has been plainly read before me.

Then all the people went away to eat, to drink, to send portions, and to celebrate with great gladness, because they understood the words which had been made known to them.

And they rose up in their place and read from the book of the law of Yahweh their God for a fourth of the day; and for another fourth they were confessing and worshiping Yahweh their God.

So when they go in, the prince shall go in among them; and when they go out, he shall go out.

Then Yahweh answered me and said, “Write down the vision And write it on tablets distinctly, That the one who reads it may run.

Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He interpreted to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.

And they said to one another, “Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was opening the Scriptures to us?”

Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,

And when they had set a day for Paul, they came to him at his lodging in large numbers; and he was explaining to them by solemnly bearing witness about the kingdom of God and trying to persuade them concerning Jesus, from both the Law of Moses and from the Prophets, from morning until evening.
