I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me as one of your hired men.” ’

And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

But when Simon Peter saw this, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Go away from me Lord, for I am a sinful man!”

This One is He who comes after me, of whom I am not worthy to untie the strap of His sandal.”
