‘Give us this day our daily bread.
“I have not departed from the command of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my portion of food.
The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; But they who inquire of Yahweh shall not be in want of any good thing.
Keep worthlessness and every false word far from me, Give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me with the food that is my portion,
He will dwell on the heights, His refuge will be the strongholds of the cliffs; His bread will be given him, His water will be sure.
But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’ ”

Now such persons we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that working with quietness, they eat their own bread.
And if we have food and covering, with these we shall be content.
Then she arose with her daughters-in-law and returned from the fields of Moab, for she had heard in the fields of Moab that Yahweh had visited His people to give them food.
