Now in the morning, when He was returning to the city, He became hungry.
At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath, and His disciples became hungry and began to pick the heads of grain and eat.
And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry.
for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And He ate nothing during those days, and when they had finished, He was hungry.
For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things like we are, yet without sin.
