But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the marvelous things which He had done, and the children who were shouting in the temple, saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David,” they became indignant

¶O Yahweh, Your hand is raised up high, yet they do not behold it. They behold Your zeal for the people and are put to shame; Indeed, fire will devour Your adversaries.

And hearing this, the ten became indignant with the two brothers.

And when He entered the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to Him while He was teaching, and said, “By what authority are You doing these things, and who gave You this authority?”

And the crowds going ahead of Him, and those who followed, were crying out, saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David; Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest!”

saying, “What do you think about the Christ, whose son is He?” They *said to Him, “The son of David.”

Then the chief priests and the elders of the people were gathered together in the court of the high priest, named Caiaphas;

Now the chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin kept trying to obtain false testimony against Jesus, so that they might put Him to death.

Now when morning came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel together against Jesus to put Him to death;

But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds to ask for Barabbas and to put Jesus to death.

And as Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”

And the chief priests and the scribes heard this, and began seeking how to destroy Him; for they were afraid of Him, for the whole crowd was astonished at His teaching.

And it happened that on one of the days while He was teaching the people in the temple and proclaiming the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes with the elders came up to Him,

And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might put Him to death; for they were afraid of the people.

And as the day came, the Council of elders of the people assembled, both chief priests and scribes, and they led Him away to their Sanhedrin, saying,

Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders that if anyone knew where He was, he was to report it, so that they might seize Him.

So the Pharisees said to one another, “You see that you are gaining nothing; look, the world has gone after Him.”

Therefore when Jesus knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than John

Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the seed of David and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?”
